Notes:
1979 Australian pressing of Australasian release,on Apple, which was originally issued in 1972 as a TV/mail-order release. (This was also issued through the World Record Club as part of the August 1980 released Superstars of the '70s boxset.) This variation includes different font than previous Apple pressings, most noticeably STEREO is in taller, thicker font as is catalog # "TVSS-8". Also identified in the side 2 matrix stamp that contains "TVSS-8", which was not present in earlier pressings. Labels still list the matrices in reverse, ie YAPAX1071-B on side 1 and YAPAX1071-A on side 2. Audiophile/collectors notes: -EMI Australia asked EMI UK for a stereo mix of Penny Lane (EMI Australia apparently requested the stereo mix prior to Germany's issue of Magical Mystery Tour - which was released before The Essential Beatles), yet still used the mono mix of Baby You're A Rich Man. -Love me Do and P.S. I Love You are fake stereo -Let It Be is the album version -With a Little Help From My Friends is a quick fade-in, and not a cold start, so you hear a little of the last 2 seconds from "Sgt Pepper's..."
